The Conex Solar RoofBlaster and The Conex Solar Mega RoofBlaster for Shipping Containers are idea for a 20' or 40' Containers. The Mega RoofBlaster has a larger fan and solar panel which is almost 3 times more powerful than our regular Conex Solar RoofBlaster product which is why it is better for a 40' Container. What does this extra power give you? It means it will refresh the air in your space 2.7 times more often than our regular Conex RoofBlaster. For example, imagine you've installed each fan on top of a 10'x10'x10' container which equals 1000 cubic feet. The 35.2 cfm fan in the Solar RoofBlaster will replenish the air in the container every 28 minutes. Whereas the 96 cfm fan in the Solar Mega RoofBlaster will replenish the air every 10 minutes.
The Conex Solar Mega RoofBlaster for Shipping Containers is a custom-designed ventilation solution that more efficiently removes hot, moist air from shipping containers using solar power. We have taken our very popular Solar Mega RoofBlaster vent/fan unit and designed a special form-fitting flashing that will sit on top of a Conex shipping container to provide a ventilation solution.
Placing the vents evenly across the top of your shipping container will promote uniform air circulation with accompanying intake vents. Uniform air movement significantly reduces the risk of mold, mildew, wood rot, and pest infestations while creating a cooler, more comfortable work environment in shipping containers. It also improves air quality, prevents tool rusting, and mitigates heat buildup.
What about my container's roof integrity? Once installed, your container's roof integrity is restored to full strength due to the special design and attachment protocol. We don't just cut a hole and adhere a vent over the hole. With the installation hardware, the vent itself becomes part of your container's structure restoring its integrity. This is a CRUCIAL difference between what Solar Blaster offers and our competitor's products. We also ONLY affect one roof rib and not two.
Applications include shipping containers with 3.5" or 6.5" container roof ribs. The 3.5" roof rib size is MUCH MORE common than the 6.5" roof ribs but don't assume anything and measure first. Photos are included to show you how to measure the rib size.
Conex Solar Mega RoofBlaster™ roof vent fans help boost the effectiveness of what would otherwise be a passive vent — so any time the sun is shining and heating up your container, our vents will be working to exhaust all of that hot air. And when the sun is not out, our vents still operate as a passive vent letting the hot air rise and escape without the assistance of the solar-powered fan.
The 20' option comes with 2 - 2.5" Intake Vents, and the 40' option comes with 4 - 2.5" Intake Vents. You will need to purchase a 2.5" Hole Saw Bit to install Intake Vents.
